You can get to Rostock quickly and easily via the A19, A20 or B105 –
whether from Hamburg, Berlin or the surrounding area. Simply follow the signs to the center and drive to “Am Strande 6”.
Parking information
Hotel guests can use our underground parking garage directly beneath the hotel for €17 per day
, as well as 20 electric vehicle charging stations, including 4 fast-charging stations (electric vehicle charging via QR code). Parking spaces are subject to availability. Additional parking options are available at the city harbor in the immediate vicinity (e.g., the city harbor parking garage, approximately a 90-meter walk away).
Arrival by public transportation
You can reach us easily by streetcar. From Rostock main station, take lines 2 (direction Kurt-Schumacher-Ring) or 3 (direction Dierkower Allee) to the “Stadthafen” stop in just a few minutes. From there you can reach us on foot in about 5 minutes.
Arrival by bike
The ScanHotels Stadthafen is an ideal place to stay for cyclists on the popular Berlin-Copenhagen long-distance cycle route. Coming from Berlin, cyclists reach Rostock via Güstrow and then follow the signposted route along the Südring towards the city center and the city harbor. From there, the route continues along the Warnow to Rostock’s overseas port and the ferry to Gedser in Denmark.
If you are arriving by ferry from Denmark, you can easily reach ScanHotels Stadthafen from Rostock’s overseas port. The distance from the ferry terminal to the hotel is about 10 kilometers and is easy to cycle. From the port, follow the signposted cycle route towards the city center / city harbor along the Warnow.
Arrival by boat
More sea is not possible: regular ferry connections take you from Denmark (Gedser), Sweden (Trelleborg), Latvia (Ventspils) or Finland (Helsinki, in summer) directly to Rostock. Ideal for international guests longing for Baltic Sea flair and a Nordic arrival.
To the Warnemünde ferry terminal
From the hotel to the ship in just 45 minutes: Start at the stop “Stadthafen” with line 3 to the main station, then continue with the S1 to Warnemünde. The walk to the terminal takes about 5 minutes. Ideal for your next crossing – uncomplicated, relaxed and easy to reach.
